Procrastination

Here are the things that are SO much more fun than studying/outlining/practice exams:

Sudoku - I won't tell you how long it takes me to solve the "easy" puzzles, but they are addicting.

Lots and lots of blogs

Distributed Proofreaders - This is the site that provides proofreading and formatting for the books being posted on Project Gutenberg. So for all of you who can't get enough of proofreading, this is the place for you.

Hoyle Solitaire/Card Games
Sims 2

Well, they are the best part of the dinner...

Predictable and boring - that's me!

You Are Mashed Potatoes
Ordinary, comforting, and more than a little predictable
You're the glue that holds everyone together.

Happy Turkey Day!

Happy Thanksgiving! Classes ended for us on Tuesday, and finals don't start until December 5, so I have that many days to try to sort out Federal Income Tax. I must have 200 pages of notes to go through! So that's what I'm working on this morning before venturing out to my brother's house for the traditional feast. And my sister is doing a turkey and trimmings tomorrow, too, so we get a double Thanksgiving. Enjoy, everyone!

Shhh!

Dear guy next to me in the computer lab,
What did the keyboard do to you? Please, it's not a manual typewriter. Type softly!!!

Thank you,
S.Decisis

Dear loud-talking people in the library,

Hello! It's a library! At least whisper for goodness' sake. Some of us are trying to keep up with our blog class reading.

Thank you,
S.Decisis

20 pages down

I finally finished the 20 page first draft of my Note - and found out I have way too much information, but that's a problem to be solved over Christmas break. Those 20 pages were hard to write, and they were mostly background on my topic, not even legal analysis - I can imagine what it will be like to write the rest! The most tedious part, as everyone who has written one knows, is the footnoting every sentence. Also, since we used ALWD for my writing class, having to use the Bluebook for this has been an adjustment. Not that I liked ALWD, I was just used to it and knew where to find what I needed. So now I have no excuse not to work on my other homework - except for the Gilmore Girls marathon on Family Channel!

2L is the loneliest number?

Maybe it's just me, but I am finding second year to be more isolating than first year. I don't have many classes with my former section-mates, and I'm spending way too much time in the library alone. I didn't notice it at the time, but apparently 1Ls travel in packs - I see them, roaming the halls, congregating in the lobby, while 2ls and 3ls scurry by singly, loaded down with books, ducking into the library.
